An Ode to Charlie
Lemme shoot it straight no chaser from jump…this is gonna have some heat. Would you really expect anything less out of a passionate woman discussing a topic so many people feel so passionately about? I’m fiery…anything I’m passionate about typically packs a punch. Let’s get into it…
September 10th a white, misogynistic, patriarchy loving, woman hating, gay bashing, Black hating, colonizer descendant was executed while speaking to a predominantly white audience at a predominantly white college in a state where 63% of the adult population identifies as Christian and more than half of those adults are members of a conservative religion who’s highest 12 officials are all white men (cough cough…it’s Utah IYKYK and I do indeed know) like good Super Kirknazi and ironically his last two words were “gang violence”.
In April of 2023 this good Christian man with a wife and children said "I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the second amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational.” The irony of this HeRo (yes I’m absolutely being sarcastic in calling him that) being sent to his maker due to an act of gun violence is not lost on me. His position pretty much became a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Let me be clear…I absolutely do not support execution. Not when it’s done by government nor when it’s done by private citizens. Two things are often true at the same time though.
I am not celebrating his death but I don’t find it tragic either. I’m not grieving or mourning. I’m not sad and I lack the ability to empathize with Mrs. Super Kirknazi. I refuse to do so in honor of her dearly departed deplorable spouse. Plot twist: I am actually an empath.
When people are going through it, I feel it too. Deeply, intuitively, passionately and tbh it’s often exhausting be the “it” good bad or ugly. I’m not a huge fan of outside for this very reason. I pretty much stay in my fee fee’s as my sister from another mister calls it and I can’t always tell is it in response to my own stuff or yours. When it comes to my circle, I keep it tight and right because I am absolutely the rah rah girl. Your wins are my wins too. I’m the co-dependent cryer…baby we both having a bad break up even though I don’t even have someone to break up with or whatev. Somebody got you fucked up…I’ma be fucked up too then and I throw hands if necessary. You got this huge scary thing…I’ma be scared with you. Super Kirknazi said “I think empathy is a made up New Age term that does a lot of damage.” I think my crew would disagree but you’d have to ask them.
He goes on to basically say that he prefers sympathy because it’s impossible for any human being to actually feel what another person is feeling and I disagree. He said he prefers sympathy to empathy and that’s all and well and fine but according to this article, “the Oxford English Dictionary defines empathy as "the ability to understand and share the feelings of another." Meanwhile, the same dictionary defines sympathy as "feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else's misfortune." Call me crazy but what I look like out here having pity and sorrow for a man who found some gun deaths annually acceptable in order to preserve 2nd amendment rights later being “some” of those very gun deaths he found acceptable? He’s dead now so there’s nothing to empathize either given he no longer has feelings to share or empathize with. Make it make sense!
“But he was a husband and a father think about the family!” Full stop and hard pass. I will not come unglued and think more about his family than he did and no I don’t have any sympathy Mrs. Kirknazi. She chose him. She laid down with him and made babies. OF COURSE she knew where he stood and she stood with him. Choices have consequences…mine, his, hers, yours etc.
“But his kids are now going to grow up without their father that isn’t fair!” Okay I’ll bite…let’s talk about fair. It’s not fair that Tamir and Emmett and Antwon and Elijah and Ahmaud and Botham and Trayvon and Barry and so on and so forth never got to be fathers. It’s not fair that Gianna will never get to hug her father George again. It’s not fair that Kailiah will never even remember her father Kevin. It’s not fair that Daunte Jr will never get to have his dad teach him out to play football or tie a tie or drive or or or. It’s sad that Jenoah’s children won’t have him in attendance at their high school graduations, weddings and the like. While I think it’s unfortunate that Super Kirknazi lived his life in such a way someone took it upon themselves to end his, it isn’t sad. It was the writing on the wall, everyone saw it coming a mile away. If not this week, at some point in the future. Again…choices have consequences and I personally think that the Kirk kids are better off now that they have only one parent to indoctrinate vile values.
“But Faith Charlie was a good Christian, he loved Jesus and everyone else too. Even if they disagreed with him.” Clearly you can tell I’ve heard what some of y’all are thinking a lot but I digress…

Antisemitic but Jesus was a Jew and Jews are also Semites.
White privilege is a a myth…a racist lie
Called Floyd a scumbag
Believed MLK Jr was “awful…not a good person.”
Condemn Civil Rights Act of 1964 saying it was a “huge mistake”
“If I see a Black pilot I’m goin to belike ‘Boy, I hope he’ qualified.’”
Denied the reality and human-made causes of climate change
Claimed hydroxychloroquine was 100% effective against COVID-19
Advocated for parents to never let their daughters take birth control pills because it makes women angry and bitter
Referred to the Ukraine war as border dispute
Spread false narratives on an assortment of topics
Said Black women lack “brain processing power to be taken seriously”
Refused to abide by mask mandates instead promoted misleading claims about Covid-19 vaccinations
Described social distancing as a democratic plot against Christianity”
Believed some annual gun deaths was an acceptable trade off for gun ownership
Touted the “biblical model” for women is to find a partner who is a protector and leader
Pretense as a Christian but is actually a Christian Nationalist
Called for Nuremburg-esque trials for doctors who provide gender affirming care
Stated “The American Democrat party hates this country. They wanna see it collapse. They love it when America becomes less white.”
Denounced separation of church and state
This is just the highlight reel y’all but ummmmm…unpopular opinion: those kids are better off without him.
I have birthed 4 children and now have 10 grand children. These 14 precious humans come in a variety of tons and guess what…my grand baby with the palest skin gladly and gleefully plays with the brownest grandbaby without batting their eyes. They recognize that one is light and one is dark but they play hard and love harder. I say this to say hate is taught, modeled, condoned and encouraged. It absolutely is not hard wired and innate.
I don’t wish folks dead and I’m not out here having a dance party over Super Kirknazi, but the demise of one with so much Chrisitan love it’s giving nothing but hate will never be a tragedy to me. That good book he swore by says something about life and death in the tongue and he basically bragged about his beliefs (oh and monetized them too) on gun violence. Somehow probably should have told him about how law of attraction and power of manifestation because uhhhh….sir you REALLY DID bring this on yourself in a myriad of ways.
